Our History-
Hazel Creek is a family-owned business focused on building quality homes in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina. With a combined experience of over fifty years, Tim Swann and his two sons, Jeremiah and Nicholas, and son-in-law Michael Harvey, began Hazel Creek Construction in 2006. The outcome has been obliging clients with professional and personal service in every project. Hazel Creek is happy to provide its customers with services such as start to finish custom homes, large scale remodels and home additions. Our clients are pleased with our honest and open lines of communication. Our integrity and efforts to serve the needs of your home to the best of our ability sets us apart in the building community.
Our Team-
Tim Swann-Tim is an Asheville, NC native who began Swann Construction in the late 1970’s and has continued to build more than one hundred homes and five completed home developments in Buncombe County . Tim has four grown children: Jeremiah, Nicholas, Whitney and Andrew. Tim and his wife Maureen have lived in Swannanoa for the last 18 years. Tim is an avid mountain/road biker and gains joy from spending time with his four grandchildren.
Jeremiah Swann- Jeremiah grew up in Black Mountain and has lived here his entire life. Jeremiah worked for his father in the summers and, after graduating from Montreat College in 2001 with a business management degree, started building for his own company, Swann Builders Inc. Jeremiah and his wife Becky live in Black Mountain with their children Ellen and Jude. When not spending time with his family, Jeremiah can be found on the golf course.
Nicholas Swann- Nick also grew up in Black Mountain, working for his father’s construction company from a young age. After graduating from Owen High School in 2000, Nicholas studied at the business school at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After receiving his degree, he started N.A.S. Homes, building several homes throughout Buncombe County. Nicholas and his wife Niki have two young daughters, Julia and Magdalene, and live in Black Mountain. In his free time Nicholas loves golf and woodworking.
Michael Harvey- Michael was born in Orlando but moved to the area when his family relocated to Black Mountain in 1990. Michael attended Montreat College, where he received his degree in History. Prior to joining Hazel Creek, Michael was employed at Stock Building Supply and Builders First Source. There, Michael worked with builders as well as material vendors. In 2008, Michael married his high school sweetheart Whitney, Tim’s daughter, and now they live in Swannanoa. Together they enjoy mountain biking and fishing in their time off.
